Carnival Miracle Joins Pride in Baltimore for 2027/28: Two Ships, Longer Caribbean Journeys
Carnival will homeport Carnival Miracle alongside Carnival Pride in Baltimore from fall 2027, adding seasonal Southern Caribbean and 12–14-night Journeys sailings for drive-to cruisers in the Mid-Atlantic.

What happened
Carnival Cruise Line is doubling down on Baltimore. The line signed a new agreement with the Maryland Port Administration to bring Carnival Miracle to the Port of Baltimore for the 2027/28 season — the first time Carnival will homeport two ships from the city at once. Carnival Pride keeps sailing year-round; Miracle arrives on a seasonal run that trade press places from November through April, starting with her Nov. 20, 2027 arrival after a transatlantic crossing from Italy.
Context and details
For Mid-Atlantic and Northeast cruisers, the move is about longer Caribbean without a Florida flight. Carnival's official deployment notes seven-, eight-, and nine-night Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean sailings on Miracle, plus 12- and 14-night Carnival Journeys that reach farther south — Dominica, Guadeloupe, St. Maarten, and similar ports called out in the line's release, with Caribbean Journal highlighting Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia, and Antigua on the longest loops.
Carnival has sailed from Baltimore since 2004; Pride has been the year-round ship since 2009. President Christine Duffy framed the expansion as building on a homeport Carnival has used for more than two decades — a signal that drive-to cruising from the I-95 corridor still has line-level investment behind it.
Booking timing: 2027/28 inventory is on carnival.com now; if you are comparing this summer, that is still Pride-only — our fare grid below reflects current Pride sailings, not Miracle's not-yet-priced 2027 weeks.
What this means for travelers
Who should pay attention: families and repeat cruisers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and D.C. who want 12+ night Southern Caribbean without positioning to Miami or Galveston; travelers already loyal to Baltimore but capped by Pride's itinerary mix.
Who can wait: anyone booking 2026 — Miracle does not arrive until fall 2027. Shop Pride's existing Bahamas, Bermuda, and shorter Caribbean loops first.
Practical watch: Journeys sailings mean more sea days and fewer quick weekend-style hops — great for port collectors, less ideal if you need a tight vacation calendar.
