Seabourn Quest Completes Record Drydock: Mediterranean Sailings Resume With Refreshed Suites and Dining
Seabourn Quest returned from the line’s largest interior drydock and is sailing seven-night Mediterranean loops from Dubrovnik, Venice, Istanbul, and Athens through November 2026.

What happened
Seabourn Quest emerged from drydock on June 4, 2026, with what Seabourn calls the most comprehensive interior update in the line's history. President Mark Tamis framed the yard period as an investment in guest experience — and for luxury Mediterranean shoppers, the timing matters: Quest is already back on seven-night loops from Dubrovnik, Fusina (Venice), Istanbul, and Athens through November 2026.
This is not a future-ship story. Quest finished the refit and resumed the exact Eastern Mediterranean routes Seabourn is selling this season — the kind of hardware refresh that gives you a reason to compare Quest now against sister ships or lines like Oceania and Viking ocean on similar small-ship Med itineraries.
What changed in the drydock
The yard period touched nearly every guest-facing space aboard the all-suite ship. All suite categories received new mattresses and Cradle to Cradle wool carpet; premium suites also got updated veranda furniture. Public spaces received a full refresh: The Club was reconfigured with a redesigned bar and new lighting aimed at smoother flow between lounge seating and the dance floor. The Colonnade and The Restaurant received modernized interiors with new furniture and carpets.
Below the signature venues, the spa reception, gym equipment, salon, pool deck sound and lighting, and Observation Bar all received updates. Trade reporting notes crew areas and accommodations were also refreshed — the kind of full-ship investment that suggests Quest will carry this look into her next marquee deployment.
Mediterranean sailings and routes
Quest's 2026 Mediterranean season centers on seven-night voyages that rotate among Dubrovnik, Fusina (Venice), Istanbul, and Athens as turnarounds or embarkation ports — combinable into 14- and 21-night sailings for travelers who want a longer Eastern Med arc without changing ships.
Itineraries lean into yacht harbors and islands across Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, and Turkey — the small-ship port lineup Seabourn sells against larger mainstream vessels. After the Mediterranean season wraps, Quest is scheduled to operate Seabourn's 2028 Cape to Cape World Cruise.

What this means for you
This is a ship-worth-knowing moment if you were already comparing Seabourn with Oceania or Viking ocean on similar Mediterranean routes. The refit is not a teaser for a future deployment — Quest is sailing the refreshed hardware now on the exact itineraries Seabourn is selling this season.
Who should look at Quest: couples and empty-nesters who value all-suite accommodations, included dining and beverages on most fares, and intimate ports that larger ships skip. If you sailed Quest before the drydock and wondered whether the line would keep investing in older hardware, this is your answer.
Who should compare carefully: travelers new to ultra-luxury pricing. When we checked on June 8, 2026, Seabourn sailings on our site started from about $3,605 per person including taxes and fees — with Seabourn Quest departures from Dubrovnik and Istanbul appearing in live results. That is a different budget than mainstream seven-night Caribbean sailings; the value proposition is yacht-harbor access and inclusive luxury, not a bargain headline.

If you are still deciding between Seabourn ships or lines, price the same month on Oceania or Viking ocean for total trip cost — not just the lead-in fare.
