How we verify
We show real history — not invented “was” prices. When we say a sailing has a verified price drop, we mean the starting cabin fare we track moved down and cleared our bar — and we show you the history behind that claim.
Daily price history
For sailings we track, we store the starting fare (including taxes and fees when the cruise line publishes them) over time. Charts and “vs normal pricing” context on the homepage come from that history — not from a marketing strikethrough.
Verified price drops
A verified price drop means the fare fell and stayed down under our dollar thresholds, so tiny blips (under about 8% or $100) don’t crowd out the drops worth noticing on homepage highlights.
Rare low rates
Badges like “rare low rate” reflect how long a sailing has sat near its recent low in our history. Badges only appear when the history supports them.
Total fares you can compare
Where the cruise line publishes taxes and fees with the starting price, we show totals so comparisons stay honest. Cabin upgrades use the tier fares we have for that sailing.
