At roughly 133,596 GT with about 3,960 to 4,716 guests, she ranks among Carnival's largest vessels alongside Vista and Panorama. Queen Latifah christened her in New York on 23 May 2018 after a Mediterranean debut from Barcelona.
Vista-class hardware introduced fleet firsts including Multiplex IMAX and Thrill Theater, SkyRide aerial bikes, expanded SportSquare, Havana staterooms with a private pool complex, and Family Harbor accommodations. Propulsion is diesel-electric with ABB Azipods under Carnival's Panama registry program. A 2021–2022 Palermo drydock addressed propulsion issues and applied the red-white-blue livery, with a fuller refurbishment scheduled for May through June 2026.
