Galapagos, suite-only quiet

We experience Celebrity Flora as Celebrity’s purpose-built Galapagos expedition ship: suite-only, Zodiac-led, and nothing like an Edge-class megaship week. We’d send curious couples here when naturalists, landings, and Infinite Veranda suites matter more than Broadway or the casino.

Daytime belongs ashore and in the water—Zodiacs off the Beach Club, naturalist briefings in the Discovery Lounge, and a guest-to-guide ratio that feels closer to a field camp than a resort. Evenings stay soft: lectures, stargazing on the top deck, and the optional Galapagos Glamping cabanas when you want to sleep under southern skies. The Sun Deck pool, hot tub, and spa are recovery tools between wet landings, not the main event.

Every accommodation is a suite with attendant service. We’d book an Infinite Veranda Sky Suite when weather flexibility matters, stretch to Premium or Ultimate Sky Suite for layout polish, and treat Royal or Penthouse Suites as the true space-and-telescope play. Even a standard balcony Sky Suite stays far roomier than mainstream insides, with oversized baths as the quiet luxury tell.

Dining centers on forward Seaside Restaurant with Galapagos-inspired plates and the casual aft Ocean Grill, with beer, spirits, house wine, tips, and excursions wrapped into the fare. OceanScope research gear and the University of Miami partnership underline that enrichment is not an afterthought here. Ask us which inner- versus outer-loop itinerary fits your fitness and wildlife wish list, and confirm the Baltra roundtrip on this page—park rules and landing sites define the week more than the ship’s amenities list.

She's for
  • Couples chasing Galapagos wildlife with suite-level comfort
  • Enrichment travelers who will attend naturalist talks nightly
  • Guests who want drinks, tips, and excursions included
  • Celebrity fans ready for expedition scale, not Edge megaships
She's not for
  • Families needing kids clubs, water slides, or casino nights
  • Anyone uncomfortable with Zodiac wet landings and uneven trails
  • Shoppers expecting a mainstream Caribbean mega-ship week
Honest caveat

She’s Celebrity-branded but expedition-paced—Zodiac landings and rocky trails are the product, not the spa. Ask us about mobility and fitness fit before you lock a suite category.

Show ship backgroundHide ship background

Celebrity Flora is a 2019 Galapagos newbuild from Shipyard De Hoop in the Netherlands (hull 488), delivered 14 May and entered service 26 May 2019, with christening on 24 June by Ecuadorian conservationist Yolanda Kakabadse. At roughly 5,900 GT with about 100 guests in 50 all-suite staterooms and ~50 crew, she is Celebrity’s first ship designed specifically for Galapagos National Park operations.

Eco notes in the build brief include dynamic positioning (no anchors on sensitive seabed), efficient hull and propulsion, and OceanScope research gear tied to the University of Miami partnership. Interiors mix BG Studio planning with Adriana Hoyos furnishings; public rooms include Discovery Lounge, Darwin’s Cove, Observatory/Library, and the Beach Club Zodiac platform.

She sails year-round seven-night Baltra roundtrips on inner and outer Galapagos loops, with landings across islands such as Española, Floreana, Isabela, and Fernandina depending on the itinerary. Confirm the exact loop and sailing date on this page—park itineraries rotate and define wildlife access more than onboard venue lists.
