Oasis Plus megaship: still the neighborhood play
We experience Harmony of the Seas as proven Oasis Plus hardware: Central Park, Boardwalk, and slide-stack wow for multi-gen families who want Royal’s neighborhood megaship without waiting for Icon-class pricing. We’d put her on Caribbean weeks when every age band needs a plan.
Harmony still reads like a floating resort town for multi-gen groups. Central Park cools evenings with live greenery, Boardwalk owns carousel-and-abyss energy aft, and the Royal Promenade keeps shopping and people-watching midship. Daytime noise concentrates around Ultimate Abyss, the aqua theater, and the pool deck, which is exactly why we love her for kids and why quiet couples need a cabin plan before they book anything.
Cabins are plentiful, not precious, on Oasis Plus scale, and that sleep math matters more than brochure photos. We default to ocean balconies away from the Boardwalk and theater when sleep matters more than the view of the action. Central Park balconies feel romantic until late restaurant traffic reminds you they face the interior garden, and suite guests get Coastal Kitchen plus quieter sun pockets when the ship is near full.

She was Royal Caribbean’s third Oasis-class liner and, at delivery, longer than original Oasis and Allure. At roughly 226,963 GT with about 5,707 lower berths, she sits with Symphony, Wonder, and Utopia in the ultra-large neighborhood class.
The ship pioneered several Oasis Plus features at scale, including the Ultimate Abyss dry slides, expanded Boardwalk and Central Park balcony inventory, and the three-level main dining room stack. A later refresh cycle, including 2026 work on Solarium dining, casino expansion, and casual venues, keeps the product current without changing the neighborhood layout.
After an inaugural Mediterranean chapter, Harmony’s long-running program has centered on seven-night Caribbean roundtrips from Fort Lauderdale, with occasional European seasons earlier in her career.
