Warm-weather MSC megaship

MSC Seaside is the Miami-born Seaside-class resort for families who want outdoor decks, a waterpark, and the Yacht Club escape hatch when the main ship gets loud. She is built for sunshine itineraries, not quiet luxury.

We experience Seaside as MSC's warm-climate megaship, with a sea-level Promenade lined with outdoor seating, glass catwalks, and pool decks that stay busy on sea days. Forest Aquaventure Park and the Jungle Pool magrodome carry the kids' energy, while evenings spill through atrium bars and the casino belt. If your group wants Italian mainstream scale with Caribbean short breaks, this is the aisle we send you down.

Cabins run balcony-heavy across more than two thousand rooms, and family cluster cabins help multi-gen groups share a hallway. Promenade-overlooking terraces are lively rather than hush, so standard balconies are the volume play for most parties while MSC Yacht Club is the private pool, lounge, and restaurant bubble inside the same hull. Ask us about under-Lido and elevator-bank noise before you lock a category, especially with light sleepers in the group.

Dining spans fixed-seating main rooms like Seashore and Ipanema, the Marketplace Buffet, and specialty spots including Roy Yamaguchi's Pan-Asian room and Ocean Cay seafood for a quieter paid night. Versus Meraviglia she is more outdoor-deck focused; versus newer Seaside EVO ships she is the original Florida christening story. Scan sailings on this page, then ask us Yacht Club versus standard balcony for your dates and ages.

She's for
  • Families who want a waterpark and outdoor-deck megaship
  • Multi-gen groups considering Yacht Club as a quiet bubble
  • First-timers booking short Miami or Florida Caribbean breaks
  • Value-minded guests who like MSC’s specialty dining roster
She's not for
  • Travellers who get stressed in crowds and long elevator waits
  • Couples seeking hush, luxury all-suite calm
  • Anyone who wants a small-ship destination immersion product
Honest caveat

At full load, peak hours on the waterpark, promenade, and elevators need patience. We’ll steer you toward quieter cabin pockets and Yacht Club or off-peak dining so you skip the worst bottlenecks.

MSC Seaside is the lead Seaside-class ship from Fincantieri Monfalcone, with steel cutting in June 2015, keel laying in March 2016, and delivery on 29 November 2017. She was christened in PortMiami on 21 December 2017 (the first MSC cruise ship named in the United States) and was among the largest passenger vessels Fincantieri had built at the time. Sister MSC Seaview followed in 2018; later Seaside EVO ships Seashore and Seascape enlarged the platform.

The class was designed for year-round warm-water work: broad outdoor decks, a multi-slide waterpark, and a wraparound promenade at sea level. MSC paired the ship with early smart-ship digital features including NFC access and beacon notifications. After Caribbean launch seasons she also covered Mediterranean, Brazil, and French Caribbean deployments before returning to Florida patterns.

Miami and other Florida hubs remain the shopper's usual association for short Caribbean and Bahamas programs, including Ocean Cay calls. Confirm this sailing's embarkation on the table below, and use the fact sheet on this page for GT, decks, and capacity.
