We experience MSC Splendida as a large Fantasia-class European resort ship: Italian dining cadence, family pools, and MSC Yacht Club as the real quiet-upgrade path. She’s for multi-gen groups comfortable with MSC’s European product mix, not a U.S.-style megaship clone.
We experience MSC Splendida as Fantasia-class MSC at full European volume: a five-deck atrium, L’Equatore covered pool, and an Aqua Park splash zone that keeps kids moving between club hours. Energy runs lively on sea days, then softens in piano bars and the Aurea Spa when you step off the main pool deck. Top Sail Lounge and the Yacht Club pocket feel like a ship-within-a-ship if you buy up for quieter mornings and dedicated service.
Cabins are balcony-majority, with most verandas near 190 ft² plus a compact terrace that works well on warm Mediterranean evenings. We’d book a standard balcony midship for most families, then put serious money into MSC Yacht Club suites when you want private dining at L’Olivo or La Palmeraie, a dedicated pool, and concierge buffering from the main corridors. Watch for noisy banks under the pool decks; ask us before you lock a category if sleep is sacred.
Dining spans the two-level La Reggia main restaurant, buffet rooms Bora Bora and Pago Pago, plus specialties like Butcher’s Cut and Asia-market Sea Pavilion by Jereme Leung. Program history includes Mediterranean and Canary seasons at debut, then a 2017 through 2018 customization for China service with the Jereme Leung specialty venue, translation tech, and MSC for Me tools when she replaced Lirica in the region.
