Our take: Oceania Sirena is a midsize R-class ship for destination-heavy weeks and serious dining, not megaship thrills. We’d book her for couples who want Red Ginger, Tuscan Steak, and open-seating calm—especially now that Oceania sails adults-only.
We experience Sirena as classic Oceania in a compact hull: destination days matter more than onboard spectacle, and evenings revolve around cooking, wine, and conversation rather than waterparks. The vibe stays soft and adult, which fits the line’s adults-only shift from January 2026. If your group wants enrichment and multiple restaurants without a cover-charge maze, this is the lane; if you want slides and Broadway-scale nights, look elsewhere in the mega-ship fleet.
Cabins are R-class practical: many balconies, compact terraces, and a smaller suite tier topped by Owner’s Suites. We still care about location on an older hull, because lower decks and busy public-space neighbors can feel dated even after OceaniaNEXT refresh work. Ask us to pressure-test category and deck before you lock a verandah solely on square footage or a brochure photo.
Dining is the reason we recommend her: the Grand Dining Room, the Toscana and Polo legacy now centered on Tuscan Steak, Red Ginger, Terrace Café, and Jacques-inspired lunch concepts. After Renaissance’s collapse she sailed as Tahitian Princess and later Ocean Princess for Princess Cruises, then joined Oceania in March 2016 following purchase from Carnival Corporation and a Marseille drydock conversion. Sisters in Oceania service include Regatta, Insignia, and Nautica on the same R-class platform.
OceaniaNEXT work in 2019–2020 refreshed public rooms and culinary venues, including Red Ginger and the Tuscan Steak concept that consolidated Italian and steakhouse dining. The line shifted to an adults-only policy from January 2026. In July 2026 NCLH announced a memorandum to sell Sirena, with Oceania retaining her through scheduled March 2028 deployments before handover to the new owner.
