We experience Viking Vesta as Viking Ocean's destination-first playbook on the slightly larger second-series hull: all-veranda cabins, long port days, and almost no megaship noise. She's for curious adults who want enrichment and inclusive basics more than thrills.
Vesta's vibe is Scandinavian calm, with the Explorer's Lounge forward for bow views and Aquavit Terrace aft for the infinity pool when Mediterranean light cooperates. We treat sea days as recovery between overnights and long calls, not a theme-park circuit with lines for slides or bumper cars. The Nordic Spa snow grotto and thermal spaces are why we book her for wellness-minded couples who will actually use them between ports.
Every stateroom is a balcony, so we usually start guests in a standard Veranda and only step up when living space becomes the priority. Move to Penthouse or suite grades when you want more room to spread out, quieter corners, and upgraded extras on longer itineraries. Versus the original Star-to-Saturn run, these hulls add length, beam, and cabin count, lifting capacity to 998 guests across 499 all-balcony staterooms. That modest scale bump is the main paper difference shoppers will notice versus earlier Viking Ocean sisters.
She carries the standard Viking Ocean inclusive stack: Wi-Fi, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, a shore excursion in each port, and Nordic Spa thermal access. Hybrid diesel-electric machinery, optimized hull form, and solar assist on the Magradome cover sit in the build story.
