Our take: Carnival Firenze is the Italian-accented Fun Ship we'd send West Coast families when they want Carnival energy with Carnevale flair. Think pools, slides, and trattoria nights from Long Beach without flying to Florida first.
We experience Carnival Firenze as Vista-class Carnival hardware wearing a Florence-and-Venice costume on the Pacific. You get Fun Ship staples like Guy's Burgers, Seafood Shack, and the pool-deck aqua park, plus Italian-leaning spots such as Tomodoro, La Fiorentina, and Il Viaggio. Midship Piazza Duomo carries the Carnevale atrium energy, and Serenity still gives adults a quieter sundeck when the Lido peaks.
Cabins follow the Vista playbook: balconies dominate, sofabeds matter for families, and Terrazza staterooms open onto the exclusive aft terrace with Jacuzzis and sail-away buzz. She shares Vista-class DNA with Carnival Vista, Horizon, and Panorama, plus sister Costa Venezia (now Carnival Venezia on the East Coast). In 2022 Carnival and Costa launched the Costa by Carnival program to bring two China-market Vista ships into North American Carnival service. Firenze drydocked at Navantia Cádiz from late January 2024 for Carnival venues, hull livery updates, and Italian-branded public spaces, joining the Carnival fleet on February 2, 2024, and christened April 24, 2024, in Long Beach.
