Where she is right now
Edge polish, stretched out
We experience Celebrity Beyond as the stretched Edge sister that adds outdoor space and foodie ambition. We’d put couples and spa-minded adults here when Infinite Veranda cabins, The Retreat, and Le Voyage matter more than kids’ waterparks.
Beyond feels like Celebrity’s grown-up resort formula with more breathing room than the first Edge ships. The redesigned Resort Deck lap pool and terraces set a calmer daytime tone, while Rooftop Garden and the oversized Sunset Bar give evenings a destination without defaulting to a megaship party circuit. Eden aft still delivers the theatrical dining-and-lounge energy Edge fans expect from this class.
For cabins, our default recommendation is an Infinite Veranda, because the floor-to-ceiling glass wall is the Edge signature and the reason many guests book here. AquaClass adds spa-access perks and a wellness-leaning room product we like for couples who actually use the thermal suite. Suite guests should look hard at The Retreat complex and Luminae, since that package is a different vacation from a standard balcony fare.
Dining is where Beyond pulls ahead of her earlier sisters for food-focused adults, with Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud as the intimate specialty we protect reservations for and Martini Bar energy in the Grand Plaza between shows. Versus Apex and Edge, she is longer, taller, and outdoor-richer while staying premium Celebrity rather than a family waterpark ship. Scan the sailings on this page and we’ll match category to itinerary before you lock anything.
- Couples who want Edge design and real specialty dining
- Spa and wellness travelers leaning into AquaClass
- Suite guests who will actually use The Retreat
- Adults who prefer polished evenings over megaship thrills
- Families hunting slides and kids’ waterparks
- Budget cruisers who skip specialty dining entirely
- Travellers who want classic step-out balconies only
The wrong balcony can sit under lively Resort Deck energy or near high-traffic elevators. Ask us about quieter banks before you lock a category—especially with light sleepers.

Show ship backgroundHide ship backgroundCelebrity Beyond is the third Edge-class ship for Celebrity Cruises, built at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. Steel cutting began in January 2020; after sea trials in February 2022 she was delivered on 5 April 2022. She is longer and roughly twelve percent larger than Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex, with additional staterooms and expanded outdoor decks.
Design partners include Nate Berkus for interiors and Tom Wright / WKK for major outdoor redesigns, while signature Edge hardware remains aboard including the Magic Carpet, Infinite Veranda staterooms, Eden, and suite-only The Retreat. Beyond adds Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud, a larger Rooftop Garden, and a reworked Resort Deck with a long lap pool. Godmother Simone Biles Owens christened the ship on 4 November 2022 at Port Everglades.
Early deployment mixed Mediterranean inaugural seasons with Caribbean and East Coast programs from Fort Lauderdale and other hubs. Confirm the current homeport and sailing on this page; the fact sheet covers GT, passenger figures, and technical details.
