Food-first Oceania without megaship noise
We experience Oceania Marina as Oceania's first purpose-built foodie ship: midsize, adults-only since 2026, and built around reservation dining rather than slides or nightlife. We'd put her for couples who want Jacques, Red Ginger, and balcony-heavy inventory without true megayacht pricing.
We experience Oceania Marina as a boutique hotel that happens to sail, with lounges and a real library setting the tone instead of atriums and thrill decks. Horizons covers afternoon tea and late music, the pool deck stays conversational, and enrichment fills sea days that other brands would pack with shows. Our advice is simple: book her for destination pacing and the culinary calendar, not for high-energy Fun Ship weeks.
Cabins are why we like her for couples who want outdoors without suite money on every sailing. Roughly nine in ten rooms are balconies around 240 square feet, and the May 2024 drydock refreshed Penthouse Suites, bathrooms, and Concierge Level living spaces with better storage and power. We'd still ask about aft Owner's Suites versus midship balconies before you lock a category, because light sleepers can feel venue traffic even on a quiet ship.
Dining is still the product that built Oceania's reputation with shoppers like ours. Complimentary specialties such as Jacques, Polo Grill, Toscana, and Red Ginger need reservations, while Aquamar Kitchen and evening Waves Grill pizza keep casual nights easy. Oceania's later Allura-class Vista (2023) and Allura (2025) are modified evolutions of this platform rather than clean-sheet designs. At roughly 66,000 GT with about 1,260 lower berths, she sits in the upper-premium midsize band under NCLH ownership since the 2014 Prestige acquisition.
OceaniaNEXT work and a May 2024 Navantia Cádiz drydock renovated penthouses, bathrooms, and public rooms across the hotel product. The refit added Aquamar Kitchen and evening Waves Grill pizzeria service while keeping specialty restaurants complimentary with reservations. Enrichment still includes the Culinary Center and Artist Loft alongside Canyon Ranch spa facilities in the Aquamar complex.
