Our take · opinion

All-suite, all-inclusive calm

We recommend Seven Seas Splendor for couples who want Regent’s all-suite, all-balcony, all-inclusive formula—space, service, and destination weeks—without megaship noise or nickel-and-dime math.

We experience Splendor as Explorer-class Regent: roughly midsize luxury with a high space-to-guest ratio and a staff ratio that feels personal from that first embarkation afternoon onward. Days are soft at Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Observation Lounge, and a pool deck that never feels like a theme park. Evenings lean Constellation Theater, Horizon Lounge, or a quiet nightcap rather than neon nightlife, and inclusive shore excursions are part of why we send destination-first couples here instead of megaship shoppers.

Every stateroom is a suite with a step-out balcony, and most voyages live happily in Concierge or higher. We’d push Penthouse, Grand, or Superior suites when you want Studio DADO-designed rooms, more terrace living, and butler service on longer voyages. The Regent Suite is the headline overkill, so ask us about category versus itinerary length before you spend up.

Dining is included across Compass Rose, French Chartreuse, steakhouse Prime 7, Pan-Asian Pacific Rim, and La Veranda / Sette Mari, plus the fleet’s dedicated Culinary Arts Kitchen. Versus Explorer and Grandeur, Splendor sits in the middle of the trio—same all-inclusive bones, contemporary DADO public rooms. Confirm your sailing below and we’ll match suite category, specialty reservations, and shore-excursion strategy before you actually board.

She's for
  • Couples wanting all-inclusive ultra-luxury with every suite balconied
  • Food-forward travellers who will use Chartreuse, Prime 7, and Culinary Arts
  • Spa and wellness guests booking Canyon Ranch days
  • Shoppers comparing Regent with Seabourn or Silversea on suite space
She's not for
  • Families needing large kids clubs and high-energy waterparks
  • Travellers who want megaship shows and nightlife density
  • Budget shoppers—Regent’s inclusive fare is a different price tier
Honest caveat

Specialty rooms like Chartreuse and Prime 7 still book out on popular sea nights despite the inclusive fare. Ask us to prioritize reservations and suite location before you sail so dining isn’t a scramble.

Show ship backgroundHide ship background

Seven Seas Splendor is the second Explorer-class Regent ship from Fincantieri Ancona. Steel cutting began March 2018, keel laying followed in June 2018, and she floated in February 2019 before delivery on 30 January 2020. Christie Brinkley christened her in Miami on 21 February 2020; guest operations started later with an August 2021 Baltic inaugural after pandemic disruption, and sisters Explorer (2016) and Grandeur (2023) share the class brief on the fact sheet.

Interior highlights include Studio DADO public rooms and Tillberg suite design across 375 all-balcony suites. The product is all-inclusive—shore excursions, beverages, gratuities, and Wi-Fi patterns per fare rules. Signature spaces include the Culinary Arts Kitchen, Canyon Ranch SpaClub, and classic Regent dining rooms such as Chartreuse and Prime 7.

Deployment rotates Caribbean and Mediterranean seasons with transatlantic and Panama Canal repositionings; longer world-cruise segments (including 2027 and 2028 Pacific programs) appear in later years. Confirm the voyage below (itineraries change) and use sailings on this page for current dates.
