Our take: Star of the Seas is Royal Caribbean's second ICON-class megaship—same neighborhood playbook as Icon, based in Port Canaveral. We'd put multi-gen families and wow-first first-timers here when the Caribbean week should feel like a stacked resort, not a quiet ship.
We experience Star as Icon's twin with a Florida Space Coast embarkation. Surfside is the toddler-and-parent neighborhood; Central Park for greenery and evening music; Thrill Island and Category 6 when someone wants slides; AquaDome when you want glass, water shows, and a night out without leaving the ship. Pick a home-base neighborhood on day one so a ship this size works for you instead of against you.
Cabins are the multi-gen advantage on ICON: most rooms sleep three or more, balconies dominate the inventory, and Infinite Balconies give you a weather plan without jumping straight to suite money.
