Our take: Celebrity Solstice is the premium mid-large ship we’d book when you want Celebrity’s grown-up tone. Think Lawn Club calm, a strong spa story, and real dining without paying Edge-class newbuild premiums.
We experience Solstice as the ship that taught Celebrity its modern vocabulary: entertainment forward, dining aft, shops and casino midship, and that famous real-grass Lawn Club up top. She’s the lead Solstice-class vessel, with Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette, and Reflection following. The 2021 Celebrity Revolution drydock refreshed her, and she’s still easy to learn on day one when the itinerary is the main event.
Cabins are balcony-heavy, which is why we like her for couples who want fresh air without suite money. AquaClass is the wellness upsell we pressure-test when spa access and Blu dining matter, while The Retreat is for guests who want quieter sundeck space. Celebrity, part of Royal Caribbean Group, designed Solstice-class ships with clear zoning: shows forward, dining aft, retail midship, plus early eco features such as solar assist.
