Onboard, the long World Promenade anchors dining and nightlife while the aft family pool and kids’ Aquapark pull the loud daytime energy with three slides beside the funnels. A retractable glass dome covers the main Lido resort pool, and an aft adults sundeck keeps quieter water when family zones peak on sea days. Forward, the enhanced MSC Yacht Club adds a private sundeck, pool, spa pocket, bar, and lounge for suite guests who want a gated neighborhood inside the megaship.
Cabin strategy matters at this WORLD-class scale, where promenade-view interiors put you over the action and late venues stay loud. Show ship backgroundHide ship backgroundMSC World Asia is the third WORLD-class liner from Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire (hull Y34)—steel cut 9 April 2024, keel laid 27 March 2025, floated out 11 November 2025, with guest inauguration planned for December 2026 after a shift from the earlier May target. At roughly 215,863 GT she joins World Europa and World America ahead of World Atlantic in 2027.
The class uses dual-fuel LNG Wärtsilä powerplants and MSC’s large-ship neighborhood layout: ship-long promenade, retractable glass Lido roof with solar panels, family aquapark by the funnels, aft adults sundeck, and an expanded Yacht Club forward. Asia-themed art installations were unveiled ahead of delivery, including a large dragon sculpture suspended over the World Promenade.
The inaugural winter 2026–2027 season is framed as seven-night Mediterranean voyages with calls among Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina, and Valletta.
