Show ship backgroundHide ship backgroundMSC World Europa is the lead ship of MSC Cruises’ World class, built at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. The World-class program was contracted after an April 2017 MoU at the Meraviglia delivery, with Europa’s firm order signed in May 2017. She delivered in June 2022 as an LNG-capable newbuild of roughly 216,000 GT.
The class was designed for very high lower-berth counts and a resort-style layout: indoor promenade with dining and bars, aquapark slides, botanic garden pool under a retractable roof, and forward MSC Yacht Club facilities. Sister and follow-on ships include World America and further World-class units scheduled through the later 2020s. Decks carry European capital names, and several cabin categories (including promenade balconies and Yacht Club duplexes) were new to MSC at debut.
